We used Ash Island for our loft conversion in 2017 and again for our ground floor side and rear extension in 2018. They have a clear approach to the work and aim to avoid any grey areas for cost or scope of work. this makes a big difference to me as a customer who doesn’t know the ins-and-outs of construction work. The price was fair and the work was carried out to an excellent standard. Furthermore they completed the work very quickly which reduced our stress and that of our neighbours. communication is very good with the foreman on site but also with Matt and Michelle in the office. Loft took approx 3 months all in and the ground floor just under that maybe even 2.5 months… which is an excellent turnaround time ! Cheers Ash Island.

Ash Island worked on our loft extension and side return kitchen extension. They started work promptly and finished in a great amount of time ahead of our new arrival. They went above and beyond to cater for our needs and are very knowledgable . If we were to do another project, I can guarantee it would be Ash island. Ash Island have renovated and extended our house and turned an uninhabitable wreck into a beautiful home. Matt and his team have been dedicated and professional from the start. I have no hesitation in recommending Ash Island Lofts and Extensions. They completed a double mansard and rear addition extension for us on time and on budget as well as to a very high standard. We chose them because they were professional and knowledgeable from the start and promised to complete our works in 8 weeks when most other companies we saw were vague about the time or told us it would take 16 weeks. We found Ash Island to be very reliable at dealing with any little issues along the way, including slight changes – everything was handled fast and actioned immediately. The actual building team were just incredible, they worked so hard and nothing phased them – including carrying my very heavy soundproofing boards up to the 3rd floor. All in all I found Ash Island to be honest, responsive, caring and professional. Our double mansard and rear extension have really exceeded expectations both quality and design wise – I would definitely use Ash Island again and highly recommend them.

We love our new kitchen! Thanks so much to Matt, Lloyd, Hayden and the team for doing such a great job. You guys made living without a kitchen (with 2 small children) manageable and kept my washing machine / sink going throughout most of the build which I was v grateful for! The team were super efficient and very easy to deal with. Would highly recommend using them!

I was absolutely delighted with the team at Ash Island. They undertook a major refurbishment for me.
The team went through the project thoroughly, and were very good at pointing out aspects of my design which I had not previously considered. The standard of the final finish is very high.
As with any building project, there were problems along the way – this is unavoidable in a project of this size. However these were always resolved quickly, properly and without any extra cost.
The neighbours were impressed too!

Who knew building work could be such fun. Thank you so much Matt, Lloyd, Hayden and the boys. First for making the experience so easy, great project managers meant that my project was completed quickly and easily.
I had been waiting for a few years to do this project and the work has exceeded my expectations, it looks fantastic and the work has been exceptional and it has become a great asset to my property.
There were no hidden extra’s from the original quote and if I did want to alter anything they told me exactly how much more it would be.
I’m a firm believer in recommendation and have been very happy to recommend Ash Island as a great company for any building work and am even considering buying another property so I can use them again!

We were introduced to Matt and Lloyd by a good friend who had just had her project completed by Ash Island. Our first impressions were good and they responded promptly with a competitive quote and provided positive answers to our questions. The payment plan and timescales were very attractive. Hayden was an excellent Project Manager and together with a good team of lads they were flexible to our needs and together we achieved a great result. We were kept up to date every step of the way and in particular we loved the many photos on the website. The job was finished on time and the price remained the same and now we are enjoying a beautiful new room in our home and it has increased our house value. We would definitely recommend Ash Island.

Having spoken to several specialist companies a year previous I was very impressed by the professionalism shown by Matt and Lloyd. Having postponed doing the building work for a year I had no hesitation in getting back in touch with Ash Island to ask them for another quote for the work we required.
Once again the guys impressed me with their speed of response, relaxed but professional approach and their subject knowledge, not to mention the very competitive quote they gave us. We decided to go with Ash Island and they were able to start the build within a few weeks.
Anthony, James, Brian and Paul worked on our build and we could not have asked for a better bunch, we soon felt very comfortable leaving judgement calls to them and the quality of their work was excellent. A few issues arose during the build but the team quickly overcome them with little fuss. The build was completed on time even given the tight timescale!
The only extra’s we paid for during the build was to upgrade our boiler, but Ash Island paid half of this cost and they also absorbed several other extras during the build which I am sure many other companies would charge you for.

Having got fed up with the original company I contracted to run my project, I went in search of somebody else who could take over. I came across Ash Island on the internet, instantly liked their website and so contacted them for a quote. Within a few days Matt visited, measured and provided a sensible quote with everything clearly explained.
As part of the design process I was taken to see existing jobs that were going through similar developments and to meet members of the team. This really helped install confidence as ultimately I had just found these guys on the internet.
On any given day there could be a variety of trades onsite all working seamlessly alongside each other – the teams are very well integrated and organised perfectly from behind the scenes. We were amazed at the speed of progress that was being made.
It was rather daunting seeing my home being ripped apart, but the friendly team onsite gave confidence that everything was under control. Within no time at all the place was being put back together and I was able to get a real feel for the extra space.
The work has now been completed for several months and I am so pleased with the end result. The guys did a fantastic job of an entire flat refurbishment. The extra space is amazing and has totally transformed my little flat into a lovely living space. As and when I do my next property, I know who I’ll be calling to complete the job.

We previously used Ash Island to do our loft conversion and house re-configure. When it came to doing our new extension we were delighted to find out that they now undertook this work as well and we didn’t hesitate to use them again. I really cannot praise them highly enough, Matt and Lloyd make the process as stress free as possible and Bill and his team were incredible throughout the build. Both projects we used Ash Island for were delivered on time with no extra hidden costs on top, which all of our friends who have done building work find hard to believe! On top of the fantastic service pre-build and during build, they have also been brilliant when we have needed a couple of snags sorted out afterwards.
